“Denial” film WINS ME FREE LASIK!

After 3 weeks of intense public voting it was announced on X96 radio that I WON! I get free lasik surgery to fix my “defective from factory” eyes.

I’m very excited. I went in and met the amazing people at Hoopes Vision, and I’ve scheduled my surgery for the 28th of September.

Now let’s hope they don’t blind me. ;)

Gangrene Audience choice!

I came. I saw. I threw hatchets. And apparently the audience loved it.

My film was selected as the Audience Choice for the 1st session of the festival. What does that mean you ask? Well...it’s pretty much self explanatory. :)

The festival was way fun. Major props to all those guys who put it on.

Gangrene film festival

So I was pulling into my driveway when I got a phone call from Craig Nybo of the Gangrene Film Festival. He tells me they got my submission (of Mom, Dad...I’m Cuban) and LOVED it!

Soooo....In September they’re gonna put me up in a hotel for a couple nights way up in Layton, UT. Apparently they have a day of fun planned for the directors. How cool is that? I’m going to introduce the video before it plays and conduct a Q&A afterward. That’s exciting.

My greatest hope is that they have really cool swag bags. I could use some free pens.

Leave it to fate to make the thumbnail of my lasik video look like my eyes have been burned out by a laser.

Hoopes Vision in SLC is giving away two free lasik surgery’s to those people who submit a video detailing why they need it or want it. So naturally I submitted a video telling them that I don’t need it....you’ll see. Just press play.
